Richard Billingham is another one of the photographers who inspired the photographic element in the collection. I can really see a connection in both types of images. I think that Billingham's work is quite a harsh reality documentary imagery. I think the way he photographs his work using a harsh flash and high saturation really works for the style that he is going for. Personally I don't like his work, as much as I find his concept interesting I am not drawn to the images, I feel that they are too natural and look a bit like anyone can take them.
